What a great opportunity for our students to get ready for their upcoming Year 11 World of Work! They can work on this during their SoW classes, as well as Advisory time too, so they can have lots of input and advice on how to create the best documents!
Over the past month the FE team have been planning FE-focused Science of Wellbeing classes for the Year 10 students. The second round of classes have been taking place over the past two weeks, where we continued to refine CVs in preparation for the students' World of Work experiences, happening in November 2026.
We hope that the students found it helpful. They should continue to work on their CVs so that they're ready to send off to potential employers.
You can view our slides HERE
"I particularly enjoyed the part of the class where we discussed the "good" and "bad" elements of various CVs. It was really helpful to see concrete examples of what makes a CV stand out and to learn about the common pitfalls to avoid."

The Unifrog MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) tool is a search-and-filter platform that helps students discover, compare and access thousands of free online courses from top universities worldwide. It enables users to explore academic subjects deeply, enhance university applications (like personal statements), and build skills.
Key Aspects of the Unifrog MOOC Tool:
Easy Search & Filtering: Students can filter courses by subject, language, provider and difficulty level (beginner to advanced).
Subject Exploration: Helps students decide if a subject is right for them by taking a "taster" module before committing to degree-level study.
Enhance Applications: Completing these courses shows dedication to universities, providing tangible topics for interviews.
Detailed Information: Provides comprehensive overview of each course, including content, expected workload and duration.
Shortlisting: Students can create and save a "shortlist" of interested courses, which can be emailed to them, making it easy to track and start their learning.
The courses are high quality and fun, with all content going through the Unifrog content team.
Navigating the tool - The MOOC tool is in the Exploring section of your Unifrog homepage.
Please ask your advisor or your FE counsellor if you need help with this!
